On Friday night, the Flamingos defeated Ethiopia 1-0 in the first leg of their last round qualifying match at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa.
Opeyemi Ajakaye scored the game-winning goal in the 36th minute of a tense match.
The Flamingos defeated the Democratic Republic of Congo and Egypt 8-0 and 6-0, respectively.

On June 4, the rematch will be held at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
The Flamingos will qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India with either a win or a tie.
In October of 2022, India will host the competition.
