The Flamingos of Nigeria will meet Ethiopia in the last qualifying round for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in India in October.
On Saturday night, the Bankole Olowookere-tutored side defeated Egypt 2-0 in Cairo in the third round second leg match.
Opeyemi Ajakaiye, Nigeria’s top scorer, scored in the fifth minute, and Aminat Omowunmi Bello added a second nine minutes later at the Petrosports Stadium, giving Nigeria a 6-0 aggregate victory.

Ethiopia’s next opponent, South Africa’s girls, trounced them 3-0 in Johannesburg in the first leg of their third round match, only to fall 0-1 in Addis Ababa on Saturday.
The Ethiopians had beaten Uganda in the second round on the away goal rule, with a 3-3 aggregate score.
The Flamingos remain undefeated in this qualifying series and have yet to concede a goal, despite having competed in every edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup save one.
They thrashed the Democratic Republic of Congo 3-0 in Kinshasa and 5-0 in Benin City for an 8-0 total before dispatching Egypt 6-0.
The first leg of the final round match between Nigeria and Ethiopia will take place on May 21st, with the second leg two weeks later.
