CAF CONFEDERATION CUP CAF Awards 2022 : First List Of Women Nominees Released

Decided by technical experts, CAF legends and media representatives, the Confederation of African Football, CAF released the first list of nominees for the women categories for the CAF Awards 2022.

The final list of nominees that will vie for the top prize will be announced closer to the event.

The categories include Player of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Club of the Year. The nominees for two other categories; Coach of the Year and National Team of the Year will be revealed in due course.

For the purpose of concluding a credible list, the performances at the ongoing TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2022, WAFCON will be taken into consideration as the competition is still at group stage.

The winners of the respective category will be announced at the Awards Gala on 21 July 2022 in Rabat, Morocco ahead of the final of WAFCON scheduled to take place between 02 July – 23 July 2022.

The event will also coincide with the two-year anniversary of the launch of the CAF Women’s Football Strategy.
