Former AmaZulu mentor Benni McCarthy has congratulated Gavin Hunt on his appointment as head coach of SuperSport United.
SuperSport confirmed Hunt on Thursday as their new head coach on a two-year deal. Hunt makes a sensational return to Matsatsantsa after leaving the club in 2013.

Benni McCarthy who was also linked with the same coaching position but but said to have turned down the opportunity, expressed delight for his colleague’s success.
In his congratulatory message on Twitter, McCarthy lauded SuperSport United. He described them as a ‘sensible club’ for going for one of the country’s finest coaches in Hunt.
“It’s right about time. Finally a sensible club going for one of Mzansi’s finest Coaches. Well done Gavin Hunt all the best.” Wrote McCarthy.
Now, with Hunt at the helm, speculation around McCarthy’s future as a coach continues as he’s still not attached to any team.
