Cristiano Ronaldo has received a major blow in his pursuit to find himself a new club as a player of La Liga side Atletico Madrid says his name is not even talked about in the dressing room.
The Colchoneros have been heavily linked with a move for the 37-year old these last days.
However, the club’s president Enrique Cerezo denied all the news circulating in the media during an interview with Partidazo Cope.
“I don’t know who invented this story about Cristiano Ronaldo to Atletico Madrid. It’s definitely not true”, he said.

“It’s practically impossible for him to come to Atletico de Madrid”, Cerezo added.
Atletico fans also showed a banner on which it was written ‘CR7 not welcome’ during their 4-0 win over Numancia on Wednesday.
After the game, the club’s captain Koke has been invited to react to the rumors and he said there is nothing like that inside the club.
“There is no talk of Cristiano Ronaldo in the dressing room. My teammates are great players. We have strikers from Argentina, Brazil, some from Portugal, France and Spain. Great players who can do great things. I trust them all”, he told Directo Gol, per The Express.
