Nigeria Troost-Ekong Sets To Return To Serie A With Bologna

Bologna, a Serie A team, is attempting to sign Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong before the current transfer window closes.

Since his team failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their first three games of the season, Rossoblù manager Sinisa Mihajlovic is hoping to sign an experienced defender.

Italian market expert Gianluca Di Marzio said that Mihajlovic is eager to entice Troost-Ekong back to Italy.

Between 2018 and 2020, the 28-year-old made 66 appearances for Serie A for Udinese.

Since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations in February, Troost-Ekong has lost his starting position at Watford.

He has hardly played this season for the Hornets in the Sky Bet Championship.
