UEFA Champions League UCL: Napoli Outclasses 10-Man Rangers To Maintain Record

Napoli continued their impressive performance in the UEFA Champions League as they defeated ten-man Rangers on a dramatic night in the UEFA Champions League.

After just 35 seconds, Alfredo Morelos, who was making his first start since March, headed over as Rangers pursued Napoli high up the field.

Before the break, Scott Arfield forced an excellent save from Alex Meret, and immediately after the break, Connor Goldson came very near with a header.

Giacomo Raspadori and Tanguy Ndombele scored late goals to seal the victory, but only after Allan McGregor twice denied Piotr Zielinski from the penalty spot.

James Sands was dismissed for giving up the first penalty, and after making two saves after a VAR review for encroachment, Politano was not denied by McGregor.

After Borna Barisic was called for a handball, the Italian forward sent the ball low into the corner out of the reach of the 40-year-old Rangers goalkeeper.

With five minutes left, substitute Raspadori finished skillfully to put an end to the home team’s fightback before Ndombele scored again in stoppage time against a worn-out Rangers defense.

After two games, Napoli leads Group A with a perfect record, while Rangers sit in second place with a winless record ahead of back-to-back matches against Liverpool.
