Nigeria NFF President Appoints Panel Of Adviser for the age-grade National Teams’

Alhaji Aminu Balele Kurfi, the chairman of the Katsina State Football Association, and sports marketing guru Hon. Bukola Olopade have been appointed as members of a three-person panel of advisers for the age-grade National Teams’ preparations for upcoming major international competitions by Nigerian Football Federation President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau.

In the meantime, the new NFF Executive Committee has appointed the panel of football experts, which also includes Alhaji Abba Mukhtar. Alhaji Gusau will inaugurate the panel on Thursday, October 20 at the NFF Secretariat.

The U23 National Team, widely known as the Olympic Eagles, will play the Tanzanian team in a second-round match over two legs, with the first leg taking place in Dar es Salaam on Sunday and the second game taking place in Ibadan on the following Saturday.

The Olympic Eagles will advance to the next round of the qualifiers if they win on the overall scoreboard.

The final tournament is scheduled to take place in the Kingdom of Morocco from November 2–26, 2023.

By winning their respective WAFU B tournaments earlier this year, the U20 and U17 Boys teams have already qualified for their respective continental competitions.

In Niamey, Niger Republic in May, the U20 boys’ Flying Eagles team won everything, while in Cape Coast, Ghana in June, the U17 boys’ Golden Eaglets team triumphed.

The top four teams from the U20 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Egypt from 20 February to 12 March 2023, will represent Africa in the FIFA U20 World Cup finals in Indonesia.

The top four teams from the U17 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Algeria from April 8–30, 2023, will represent Africa in the FIFA U17 World Cup finals in Peru.
