The champions of the CAF women’s Champions League in 2022 will receive a monetary award of $400,000.
The CAF’s Communication Department made this announcement in a statement on Wednesday.
Bayelsa Queens, champions of the Nigerian women’s league, will fly the national flag at the second iteration of the competition, which will take place in Morocco later in October.

Group B includes Bayelsa Queens, Wadi Degla from Egypt, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, and TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Semifinalists will receive $200,000 while runners-up will receive $250,000.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the following statement: “The prize money structure for the CAF Women’s Champions League, Morocco 2022, has been published.
“The competition will begin on October 30, 2022, and its finale is set for November 13, 2022.
“The competition’s winners will receive USD 400 000, while the runners-up will receive USD 250 000.
“Each of the two losers in the semifinals will win USD $200,000.
“CAF launched the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2021 with the first edition played in Cairo, Egypt in November. South African club, Mamelodi Sundowns won the maiden event after defeating Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies 2-0.
The CAF Women’s Champions League is the flagship competition of women’s club football competition on African soil and a giant step towards advancing women’s football in Africa..”

Winners: $400 000
Runners-up: $250 000
