Manchester United banished Cristiano Ronaldo from their first-team after the 37-year old refused to come on as a substitute during their 2-0 home win against Tottenham on Wednesday, reports said.

CR7 left Old Trafford in the 89th minute of Red Devils clash against Spurs on Wednesday night.

Earlier today, reports claimed the five-time Ballon d’or winner turned down Erik ten Hag’s proposal to bring him on in the additional time.

The Dutch manager promised to “deal with his case” this Thursday and now The Athletic revealed what will be the sanction for Ronaldo.

“Cristiano will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s game against Chelsea,” the aforementioned source said.

“The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture.”

Further reports claim Manchester United will also slams Ronaldo for his attitude with his return date to the first team training yet to be known.
