Nigerian Players abroad Onyeka In Action As Brentford Stun Man City At Etihad

Brentford overcame Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad on Saturday after a strong display from Frank Onyeka.

During the action-packed battle, Onyeka played for 87 minutes.

Joshua Pelanda DaSilva took over for the midfielder.

This year, the 24-year-old has played 12 times for the Bees in league matches.

On the 16th minute, Ivan Toney, who was left out of England manager Gareth Southgate’s World Cup team, gave the visitors the lead.

Before the break, City’s Phil Foden equalized with an outstanding half-volley.

Following the missed opportunity to climb to the top of the Premier League, a combination of bad finishing, wasteful passing, and tenacious Brentford defending disappointed City.

In the 97th minute, Toney scored the winning goal.
