In the initial exchanges, the Young Cheetahs of Benin were in control despite the threats of attack from Rodolfo Aloko and Olatoundji Tessilimi.

At the halfway point, Hassane Imourane of Benin saw his furious long-range effort agonizingly miss the target.

Five minutes before halftime, Aziz Abid of Tunisia cut into the Benin box and curled a shot straight at goalkeeper Rahman Karim’s midriff.

This was the best opportunity of the half for Tunisia.

While the two sides canceled each other out in the last third, the second half was a close game.

The greatest chance for Benin came from Olatoundji Tessilimi, who pounced onto a loose ball outside the Tunisian area and maneuvered around the goalkeeper but was unable to score with his shot.

The two teams agreed to a draw, with Tunisia holding the lead with one point and Benin earning their second point of the group.
