CAF CONFEDERATION CUP CAFCC: Dream FC Manager Blasts NSA For Sabotage Ahead Of Zamalek

Dreams FC’s general manager, Ameenu Shardow, has blasted the National Sports Authority (NSA) for what he believes to be sabotage after photos and videos of Baba Yara Stadium being used by kids before the pivotal CAF Confederation Cup matchup with Zamalek appeared.

On Sunday afternoon, Dreams FC and Zamalek will play their semi-final second leg at the stadium, which is now the only globally recognised location in Ghana.

As a result of the stadium being accessible to kids for leisure activities, some areas have not been maintained, raising questions about its overall condition.

Shardow expressed his disgust at the state of affairs, pointing out the stadium’s different regions of dirt.

According to information obtained by Ghanasoccernet, the match commissioner and security officer of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have both noted the stadium’s state, which could result in harsh punishments.

At first, there were whispers that the game might not take place in Kumasi because the stadium did not meet CAF’s requirements.

Though there was a reversal, there can still be consequences from the current state of affairs. While Dreams FC believes their efforts are being hampered, the NSA, which is in charge of stadium administration, may have good grounds for their actions.

The club wants to go down in history as the first Ghanaian team to compete in a major final of a CAF club competition in almost twenty years.

Dreams FC declared earlier this week that the stadium’s center-line and popular stands would be free to enter for spectators; the NSA initially objected to this decision, but it seems to have been overcome.
