Kenya KCB and Kenya Police book spots in Mozzart Bet Cup semis

KCB and Kenya Police secured spots in the Mozzart Bet Cup semi-finals after both teams clinched victories of 1-0 and 4-0, respectively, in their quarterfinal clashes held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Dandora Stadium.

Danson Namasaka’s goal in the 59th minute proved to be all KCB needed to secure their spot in the semi-finals. Additionally, KCB’s Herit Mungai received the man of the match award and a cash prize of Kshs 100,000, which he will donate to a charity of his choice.

In the second double-header match, David Okoth opened the scoring for Kenya Police in the 24th minute. Samuel Onyango doubled the lead in the 53rd minute and completed his brace in the 68th minute. Two minutes into stoppage time, Marvin Nabwire netted the fourth goal for Kenya Police, sealing the score at 4-0.

Kenya Police striker David Okoth was named the man of the match and will also donate the cash prize of Kshs 100, 000 to a charity of his choice. With these victories, both teams are now one step closer to clinching the Mozzart Bet Cup trophy, a cash prize of Kshs 2 million, and securing a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Meanwhile, there are still two semi-final spots up for grabs, which will be decided tomorrow as FKF National Super League SS Assad takes on Kariobangi Sharks in the first double-header match, while AFC Leopards will face FKF Division One Side Compel in the second match.
