Morocco head coach Walid Regragui takes dig at Brazil after Atlas Lions beat the five-time World Cup winning country in a friendly game in Marrakech on Saturday night (2-1).

After beating Portugal, Belgium adn Canada during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where they reached the semifinals, Morocco continue their impressive run.

Achraf Hakimi and teammates defeated Brazil for the first time in their history with Sofiane Boufal opening the scoring inside 29 minutes of play.

Manchester United midfielder and newly appointed Brazil captain Casemiro netted the equalizer for Seleçao in the 67th minute.

However, Brazil’s defence conceded another goals as Abdelhamid Sabiri scored the winner for Morocco in the 79h minute.

This is the first ever victory of Morocco against Brazil and the second African win against the South American team ater Cameroon’s stunning 1-0 during the World Cup in Qatar.

Speaking after the game, Walid Regragui enjoyed the way his side played despite fasting.

“We beat Brazil, in the middle of Ramadan, after the Tarawih prayer, It’s crazy!” he tweeted.
