Rwanda APR will not make mistakes in title decider against Gorilla FC – Moussa

APR head coach Ben Moussa has warned his side against complacency as they take on Gorilla FC in their final Rwandan Premier League fixture of the season at Kigali Pelé Stadium on Sunday.

With only one round of matches remaining to conclude the season, the title race still remains open despite APR enjoying a 10-goal difference at the top of the table. The army side has amassed 60 points from 29 games after their 17 wins, three draws, and three defeats and are 10 goals ahead of SC Kiyovu.

“We know that we have an uphill task but we are ready for the challenge ahead of us. We are ready to win the game that can give us the title,” Moussa said as quoted by Times Sport.

“The battle for the league title is not yet over until the end of the final day. We are capable of making history again. And that is our target from now onwards. Our focus now is to win the last game.”

He added: The battle for the title is still on because realistically even Kiyovu [second] and Rayon Sports (third) are still in the race. It will be tough because Gorilla has shown that they are a big team.”

Rayon Sports who still have a chance to win the title are behind with two points. But for them to win the title, the ‘Blues’ will need to beat Sunrise and hope that APR and Kiyovu drop points against Gorilla and Rutsiro.
