Nigeria WAFU B U20 Girls: Falconets Thrash Benin To Set Up Final With Ghana

In the ongoing women’s WAFU B U20 Girls, which is being held in Kumasi, Ghana, Nigeria’s U20 Women team Falconets advanced to the final on Wednesday night.

The Nigerian team began their competition campaign with an easy 7-0 victory over Niger before defeating Togo and Burkina Faso, respectively, by scores of 6-0 and 3-0.

In the competition semi-final on Wednesday night at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi, they once more showcased their scoring prowess by defeating the Amazons of the Benin Republic 3-0.

In the game’s 21st minute, Amina Bello gave Nigeria the lead, and Nigeria quickly took over.
In the 32nd minute, Sebastian Flourish was fouled in the area, and in the 33rd minute, Esther Onyenezide made it 2-0 for Nigeria.

In the 62nd minute, Onyenezide sealed the victory for Nigeria and her brace, giving Falconet an impressive 3-0 victory over Benin Republic.

This weekend’s competition final will pit Nigeria’s Falconets against Ghana’s Black Princesses.
