Transfers Jackson Passes Medical Ahead Of €35 million Move To Chelsea

Nicolas Jackson has passed his medicals in preparation for his transfer from Villarreal to Chelsea.

The Senegal forward’s Villarreal contract contains a €35 million (£30.1 million) release clause, and Stamford Bridge’s final terms of an eight-year deal are being worked out.

Jackson was set to join Bournemouth for £22.5 million in January, but the 22-year-old had a hamstring issue and failed his medical.

After acquiring Christopher Nkunku from German club RB Leipzig, Jackson emerged as a prominent target for Chelsea this summer as they sought to upgrade their attack line.

Jackson led Villarreal in scoring with 13 goals and five assists across all competitions last season, and an official announcement of his transfer to Stamford Bridge is anticipated in the coming days.

AC Milan is working hard to complete a deal to acquire midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Earlier this month, conversations between the clubs took place under the direction of Paolo Maldini, who was the sporting director at the time. It now seems that there is renewed interest in the athlete.
