Nigeria NFF To Organize 10-Day Coaching Courses For Nigerian Coaches

The Nigeria Football Federation NFF has finalised arrangements to bring together 15 Nigerian coaches for a 10-day CAF Coaching Course.

The NFF/FIFA Goal Project, MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, will host the first-ever CAF Coaching Instructors’ Course in Nigeria from July 5–15, 2023. This is stated in a statement issued by the federation on Tuesday.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), which is sending Ethiopian official Abrham Mebratu, a CAF top teacher and FIFA technical expert, to lead the training, has approved the train-the-trainers plan.

Coach Augustine Eguavoen, the NFF’s Technical Director, told thenff.com that a carefully chosen group of 15 coaches would benefit from this programme that sets the standard, and that this group will then serve as the forerunner of the NFF’s steadfast commitment to improve the lot of Nigerian coaches.

“This programme is with an objective towards enhancing the capacity of Nigerian coaches.

” There are changes to methods, tactics and techniques almost every day, and our coaches must be aware of these changes and be able to implement them to make our teams and clubs better, and able to compete favourably internationally.

“I commend the efforts of the NFF leadership, particularly the President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau for the initiative and resilience in ensuring the course becomes a reality.”

Over the duration of the 10-day programme, participants will go through both practical and theoretical workshops.
