Rwanda Rayon Sports unveil DR Congo star, new coach Zelfani arrives

Rayon Sports have completed the signing of DR Congo international Jonathan Ifasso Ifunga on a two-year deal just hours after their new Tunisia Yamen Zelfani arrived to start work.

According to Times Sport, the 24-year-old, who plays in midfield but he can also play in a more forward role supplying passes to strikers, previously played for a number of teams like AS Nyuki, AS Dauphins Noirs and AS Simba, both from DR Congo and Moroccan topflight side Difaâ El Jadida.

He is the latest player to join the Blues who also signed Ugandans Simon Tamale and Charles Baale, Burundian Aruna Moussa Madjaliwa, Moroccan youngster Youssef Rharb and Rwandan trio Hakim Bugingo, Ally Serumogo and Aimable Nsabimana.

Meanwhile, new Rayon coach Zelfani arrived on Wednesday and went straight to the team’s training camp at Skol Stadium in Nzove.

A statement on Rayon Sports Twitter Handle confirmed: “This morning, Yamen Zelfani was at Skol Stadium in Nzove to watch the club’s training before holding his first session as new boss this Tuesday afternoon,” adding: “He looked ready to hit the ground running at Rayon Sports.”
