USA Pochettino backs Messi to shine in MLS with Inter Miami

Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino is expecting for Lionel Messin to have a good time with Inter Miami in the Major Soccer League (MLS).

Messi joined the Florida-based outfit on a two year deal with another year in option.

So far, Sergio Busquets has joined him the team with Jordi Alba being on the way as well.

Over 3,5 billion people watched Lionel Messi’s unveiling ceremony according to Inter Miami co-owner Davick Beckham.

Speaking on his countryman’s influence, Pochettino talked high of him.

“I think the impact has been huge on MLS. Messi is the best player in the world and that’s why the impact has been great”, he said in a press conferece.

“We saw his presentation in Miami and his impact in the world, not just in America, but I think it’s great to see him happy and for sure the people of Miami and MLS will appreciate one of greatest players in the world.”

In addition, Messi and Busquets could make their debuts on Friday in the Leagues Cup against Cruz Azul.
