Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq reached an agreement with Liverpool over the transfer fee of Jordan Henderson the Middle-East club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Dammam-based side have reached an agreement in principle with the Reds on the transfer fee which is £12m for the arrival of the 33-year-old player.

Under contract until 2025 at Anfield, Liverpool never thought of releasing their captain from his last two years of contract and will therefore receive a good sum from his departure.

The Italian journalist adds that Jordan Henderson has already agreed on a three-year contract with Al-Ettifaq.

The England international is only waiting for the final details to be sorted out for him to undergo to his medical examination.

Then it will be time to join his former captain Steven Gerrard who has already exchanged with him, in Saudi Arabia.
