FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP FIFAWWC: Abiodun To Miss England Game After Red Card Review

Deborah Abiodun, a midfielder for the Nigerian Super Falcons, has been suspended from the team’s upcoming match after receiving a red card in the first group game.

The aggressive midfielder missed the match with Australia in the second game after being dismissed against Canada.

After reviewing her red card, the governing body of World Soccer imposed a three-match suspension on her.

After playing to a scoreless draw with the Republic of Ireland, Nigeria qualified for the round of 16.

With Nigeria possibly going to face England in the knockout stage of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Deborah will not be in action.

However, if the Super Falcons qualify to the quarter final, Deborah will be available for the game .
