Saudi Arabia WATCH: Sadio Mane comes off the bench for Al Nassr debut

Senegal international Sadio Mane received a rousing reception after he stepped out to make his debut for Saudi Pro League outfit Al Nassr on Thursday night.

The 31-year-old, who signed a contract with the Saudi Pro League club until the summer of 2027, came on as a substitute in the 46th minute Abdulaziz Al Aliwa to a huge welcome by the crowd that had thronged the match venue to watch Al Nassr take on Zamalek Arab Club Championship Cup at King Fahd Stadium.

However, seven minutes after coming on, Zamalek took the lead from the penalty spot when Zizo converted. The Lion of Teranga, whom according to Sky Sports, Mane will earn £650,000 ($830,290) per week in Saudi Arabia, linked up well with Cristiano Ronaldo, but Al Nassr were forced to wait until the 87th minute when the Portuguese star levelled matters.

Mane joined Bayern from Liverpool in June last year for an initial transfer fee of £27.5m. Al Nassr started the 2023-24 season last week, drawing 0-0 with Al-Shabab before beating Tunisian side USM 4-1.
