Kenya Nyamweya calls on fans to rally behind Shabana vs FC Talanta

Shabana FC patron Sam Nyamweya has called on fans in Nairobi to turn out in large numbers and support the team when they take on FC Talanta in an FKF Premier League fixture on Friday.

The Kisii-based Glamour Boys will return to action at Nyayo Stadium having lost their opening fixture 1-0 against Murang’a Seal FC at Homabay Stadium last Sunday. Ahead of their second fixture of the season, Nyamweya believes fan support will spur the boys to post their first win in the top-flight.

“We want to appeal to our fans from all walks of life to turn up in large numbers and support the team as they take on Talanta at Nyayo Stadium,” said Nyamweya, adding: “This is a big game for Shabana, and we want them to rally behind the team, we are confident of getting our first win on Friday.”

He added: “We are all and sundry for the big game.”

His sentiments were echoed by Shabana coach Sammy Okoth, who said the fan’s support during their opener against Murang’a gave them the appetite to fight and it will be great to see the same replicated again against Talanta.
“We have respect for our fans and we will be happy to see them fill Nyayo on Friday,” said Okoth, adding: “We want to hear to the noise to keep us going and we want to promise them an improved game against Talanta.”
