News Pogba Test Positive To Banned Testosterone Substance

Paul Pogba, a midfielder for Juventus and France, tested positive for the illegal substance testosterone.

The test, according to news source ANSA, was carried out following Juventus’ 3-0 victory over Udinese on August 20 at the Dacia Arena, as noted by Football Italia.

Juventus played in its inaugural match of the year.

Pogba sat on the sidelines the entire game as an unused substitute.

Later, he appeared as a substitute in the two matches against Bologna and Empoli.

The Bianconeri defeated Empoli 2-0 on September 3 after drawing 1-1 with Bologna on August 27 at the Allianz Stadium.

Depending on the decision, the 30-year-old might be barred for two or four years.

To find out why he failed the initial drug test, a second test sample must be given.

In the summer of 2022, the midfielder made his way back from Manchester United to Serie A team Juventus.

Since the move, he has struggled to get into games because of niggling and reoccurring injuries he picked up while in Italy.

In the 2023–24 Serie A season, Pogba has appeared twice.

Juventus has seven points after three games and is ranked third in Serie A.
