Transfers Dennis Completes Season-Long Loan Move To Istanbul Basakehir

Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis has completed his move from Nottingham Forest to Turkish Super Lig club, Istanbul Basakehir on loan.

Dennis who joined Forest from Watford struggled to find more playing time at Nottingham Forest.

He joined the club on a season long loan. deal to get more playing time after making just nine appearance for Nottingham Forest following his move from Watford.

The club confirmed the deal in a statement on its official website.

“Our club reached an agreement with Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis, who plays for Nottingham Forest, one of the Premier League teams, on loan until the end of the 2023-2024 season.

“We welcome Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis to our family and wish him success with our orange-dark blue jersey.”

The versatile forward expressed his delight after completing the move.

My first encounter with Başakşehir was when Club Brugge played against them in qualification for the Champions League,” Dennis told the club’s official website.

“My big brother, Emmanuel Adebayor, played the game as well, so we had a conversation after the game and he invited me later to Istanbul.


“I met him here, we relaxed, went to his house together, spent the whole day together. He told me a few things about the club.

“It was just in my head and then recently I received a message from my agent that the club were interested in me.

“I said it’s a nice place, I’m familiar with them because I’ve been to the stadium, I have played against them, I’ve had few friends who played here, they always tell me good stories about the people, the club, so I decided to come here.”

Dennis made 16 league appearances for the Reds last season with two goals to his name.
