Kenya Posta Rangers floor Bandari to stay top, Gor Mahia drop vital points

Posta Rangers maintained their top spot in the FKF Premier League standings following their 2-0 win over Bandari at Kasarani Annex on Saturday.

The Mailmen didn’t take long to open the scoring. Titus Achesa’s cross found Ondiek in the area who slotted it home. In the 39th minute, Brian Otieno’s shot hit the crossbar and came off Andrew Juma for an own goal. The halftime break saw Posta take a 2-0 advantage.

In Machakos, Kibande James’ sole goal in the 58th minute was the difference securing all three points for Tusker against Sofapaka. Elsewhere, Kenya Police played to a 1-1 draw with Talanta. Talanta took the lead in the 21st minute before a Tyson Otieno strike leveled the match in the 33rd minute while Gor Mahia were held to a 0-0 draw by Bidco United.

Sunday fixtures; Nairobi City Stars vs KCB (Kasarani Annex, 1 p.m.), Ulinzi Stars vs Shabana (Ulinzi Sports Complex, 3 pm), Kariobangi Sharks vs Kakamega Homeboyz (Kasarani Annex, 3:15 pm) and Nzoia Sugar vs AFC Leopards (Sudi Stadium, 4 pm).
