Nigeria NNL: Warri Wolves Get First Away Point Against Crown FC

Warri Wolves FC picked their first point on the road as they held Crown FC of Ogbomoso to a 1-1 draw in the Nigeria National League.

From the blast of the Whistle, the Seasiders took the game to their host and showed every sign of establishing their main business.

Forward Izuchukwu who had missed out on a clear-cut opportunity to put the visitors in front in the third minute of play however got it right in the 39th minute to leave host Crown FC begging for an equaliser.

The Seasiders won a free kick in the 38th minute and debutant Terry connected to Emmanuel Bakare from the left wing before giving a Precised pullout to Festus Ingo who connected to Izuchukwu Christain with a head flick and the rest was history as the Seasiders were in front with the home side trailing behind.

The Ajilete Warriors got an opportunity to level up in added time of the first half but Goalkeeper Joke Elvis deprived Ogunjobi Kamorudeen from
registering his name on the scoreboard with a heroic save that stopped the host from equalizing in the first half and the Seasiders took the lead into the second half.

The Ajilete Warriors came all out in the second half and got their much-needed equalizer in the 66th minute through Adekunle Mojeed.

All efforts by the host to get a winner were frustrated by a solid Warri Wolves defense and the match day 5 encounter ended 1-1 to give Warri Wolves her first away point for the Season.

With the Victory, Warri Wolves FC moved a step up to third position in the Southern Conference Group B with Seven Points from Four Matches and will next take on Giant Brillars on Friday, December 22nd on Match Day 6.
