Chelsea Chelsea Wrap Up 2023 With Victory Over Crystal Palace

In a fiercely contested Premier League London derby on Wednesday, Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 at home thanks to a penalty kick from substitute Noni Madueke in the 89th minute.

Eberechi Eze knocked down Madueke, and VAR called referee Michael Salisbury to the screen to signify a foul after waving play on.

In first-half stoppage time, Michael Olise of Palace displayed excellent talent when, unmarked at the far post, he chested down a cross from Jordan Ayew and finished expertly beyond Djordje Petrovic.
