Transfers DONE DEAL: West Ham United sign Kalvin Phillips from Man City

West Ham United have completed the signing of England midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City until the end of the 2023-24 season.

“West Ham is delighted to confirm the signing of England midfielder Kalvin Phillips on loan until the end of the 2023-24 season,” confirmed a statement on the club’s official website, adding: “The 28-year-old joins the Hammers from Manchester City and could make his debut in Thursday’s Premier League fixture with Bournemouth at London Stadium.”

“I’m really pleased to be here,” said the Yorkshireman, who will wear the No11 shirt,“ adding: “There’s always been a lot of speculation about me moving to West Ham, so I’m really excited to get going now.

“There’s so much to look forward to in the second half of the season for the Club and I can’t wait to be part of it.

“There’s an unbelievable group here and if I can come in and add the quality that I know I’m capable of, I’m sure we can give the West Ham fans plenty to be excited about between now and the end of the season.”

Capped 31 times by England, Phillips started every game as the Three Lions reached the final of UEFA Euro 2020 and appeared at the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals.

At club level, he led his boyhood club Leeds United to the Premier League before transferring to Manchester City in summer 2022 and winning the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup last year.
