Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong has been named as the Player of the AFCON 2023 competition in Ivory Coast following his performance.
Ekong scored three goals in the competition for.rh Super Eagles including two penalty and a goal against the Ivorian in the final.
Other individual awards saw the Bafana Bafana of South Africa emerged as the Fair Play team.of the tournament.

South Africa goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams who saved four penalty against Cape Verde was awarded the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.
Equational Guinea forward, Emilio Insue got the Puma Golden Boot award.
Angola sensational forward, Gelson Dala took home the Silver boot after netting four goals.
Mostapha Mohammed of Egypt won the Bronze boot after he netted four goals for the Pharoahs.
Simon Adingra of Ivory Coast was awarded the Best Young Player of the tournament.
In other individual awards, Emerse Fae who replaced Jean-Gasset as Ivory Coast head won the Best coach.
