The Premier League team Crystal Palace announced on Monday that Oliver Glasner, an Austrian, will take over as manager once Roy Hodgson leaves.

The 49-year-old has committed to lead the Eagles until the conclusion of the 2025–2026 campaign.

After Hodgson resigned, Palace appointed the former manager of Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt, with the team sitting 16th in the league and five points above the relegation zone with six victories from 24 games.

I’m delighted to welcome Oliver to the club. He has an outstanding record, and we believe he is the right manager to take the club forward at this pivotal stage,” chairman Steve Parish said.

During his two seasons in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt, Glasner guided the Bundesliga team to the 2022 Europa League title and the 2023 German Cup final.

Later on Monday, Hodgson’s deputy coaches Paddy McCarthy and Ray Lewington will lead Palace at Everton. On Saturday, Glasner’s debut game in command will take place at home against Burnley.
