Tanzanian powerhouses Simba SC defeated Jwaneng Galaxy 6-0 on Saturday night to go to the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League quarterfinals in grand fashion.

For the second consecutive year, Tanzania is headed to the competition’s knockout stages, and this season, they plan to make a bigger impression.

With goals from Saidi Ntibazonkiza, Pape Omar Jobe, Kibu Denis, Clatous Chama, Ladaki Chasami, and Fabrice Ngoma, the Tanzanians easily defeated Wydad AC 1-0, meaning the former champions’ 1-0 victory over Asec Mimmosas was in vain.

With these two outcomes, an intriguing Group B came to an end. Asec Mimosas emerged victorious with 12 points, followed by Simba with 9, while Wydad and Galaxy were eliminated.
