Algerian side CR Belouizdad defeated Medeama of Ghana 3-0 at the Olympic Stadium in Algiers in their final Group fixture of the CAF Champions League on Friday.

Despite the comprehensive victory, Chabab Belouizdad’s journey in the tournament ended, having been eliminated in the previous round following a 4-0 defeat to Young Africans (Yanga SC).

Abdelraouf Benguit opened the scoring for Chabab Belouizdad in the 27th minute, followed by Lionel Nampé in the 42nd minute. In the second half, Lamine Jalou added the third goal in the 84th minute.

Both Al-Ahly and Yanga will continue their campaign in the competition, aiming to progress further in the competition as they enter the quarter-finals.
