Chippa United co-coach, Thabo September has expressed confidence on Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali ability ahead of their Wednesday DStv Premiership game against Richard Bay.

Nwabali was one of the break out players at the 2023 AFCON where the Super Eagles finished second in the final.

He was instrumental to the Nigeria team and conceded just three goals in open play

Speaking ahead of the game, Thabo said the team is coming up well and was glad to have Nwabali back to the squad.

“Our team is coming on OK, the boost that we have is that Stanley [Nwabali] is back from a very successful Afcon.

“The team is coming together in a good way, it’s going in the right direction.”

Thabo September and Kwanele Kopo took over as co-coaches and have gone unbeaten in their opening two matches to lift the Eastern Cape club up to 13th in the standings, level on 20 points with Moroka Swallows (14th).
