UEFA Champions League UCL: Bayern Munich Beat Lazio To Reach Quarterfinals

Bayern Munich defeated Lazio 3-0 with a 3-1 aggregate score and advance to the Champions League quarterfinals at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.

Lazio won 1-0 in the first leg of their last-16 match in Rome last month thanks to a penalty kick from Ciro Immobile.

However, goals in the first half from Harry Kane and Thomas Muller in Munich on Tuesday flipped the tie on its head before halftime, leaving Lazio feeling disappointed over a huge opportunity lost with the score at 0-0.

Kane’s goal, Bayern’s third and his second of the evening, secured the victory and the tie. This is his sixth goal in eight Champions League games this season.

After 32 games across all competitions, the England captain now leads the German team with 33 goals.

Bayern has secured their spot in Friday, March 15’s quarterfinal draw as a result of the event.

Despite their problems in the Bundesliga, where they are 10 points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, it maintains Bayern and Kane’s ambitions of finishing the season with trophies.
