Egypt started their 2022 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Nigeria. The Pharaohs now have two must-win games remaining in the group stages against Guinea-Bissau and Sudan respectively in order for them to secure a spot in the round of 16.

Despite the upsetting result, Queiroz believes that this is a great opportunity for the team to show their personality and bounce back.
“We feel hurt and sad. No doubt about that because we always want to perform well and deliver happiness to our Fans, Friends, and Families. We are proud of our commitment and we want to make people proud of us.” Queiroz posted on his Twitter account.

“Lads, lets move forward to our responsibility and major goals!” added the coach.
Egypt’s will get the chance to redeem themselves next Saturday when they face Guinea-Bissau at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium in Gouara.
