Like they did in last season’s CAF Champions league, Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns will be battling together this season as well as they are in the same Group again.

The CAF CL draw was held on Monday at Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

And CAF Confederation Cup draw was the first to be done and the best of African clubs Football competition followed it.

The mouthwatering Group is A where runners-up Al Ahly are gathered with Mamelodi Sundowns.

During the 2021/22 season, the Red Devils and the Brazilians were in the same Group as well and Al Ahly defeated the Dstv Premiership side twice to claim the Group’s top post.

The Egyptian Premier League side went on until the final before bowing to Walid Regragui’s Wydad Casablanca.

Defending champions Wydad will take on JS Kabylie, AS Vita Club and Angolan side Atletico Petroleos in Group A.
