Africa Premier League : QPR and Celtic chasing PSG defender

The 30-year-old, who is currently with the Ivory Coast squad at the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, wants to resurrect his career in the UK.

Tiene has been a victim of the heavy influx of big-money signings at PSG, with the Ivorian making just one appearance this season after falling behind Brazilian defender Maxwell in the pecking order.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is looking for reinforcements in every department of his squad, and could be ready to offer the ASEC Mimosas graduate a move to the Premier League.

But Celtic boss Neil Lennon has suggested that he could add to his ranks after seeing his side lose to St Mirren in the League Cup and is also weighing up a swoop for Tiene.
