Absent from the national team since he was ruled out of the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa by injury, West Bromwich Albion FC striker Victor Anichebe could rejoin Stephen Keshi’s squad for the Brazil World Cup.
Coach Keshi just confided to Complete Sports that he is inclined to give the striker a chance for the mass competition if he feels fit to defend national colors in the South-American country next summer.
“You asked if I would consider Anichebe to vie for a place in the Eagles final list for the World Cup; it is Anichebe who chose not to play for Nigeria at a point in time, so if he decides he is ready to play, why not.
“If he calls me today that he wants to play for the Eagles again, of course, I would give him a chance to prove himself and possibly go to the World Cup in Brazil next year,” he said.
