Africa Soccer Nigeria : 17 NPFL clubs vote for 2019/2020 end season

An online meeting gathered chairmen of NPFL Clubs (Nigerian Professional Football League) on Sunday. And 17 of them vote for the end of the 2019/2020 season.

Football in Nigeria has been interrupted by the worlwide pandemic since March. And clubs are still waiting to see the end of the season and decisions to make considering promotions and relegations.

As disclosed by the Executive Secretary of Clubs Owners Associations, Alloy Chukwuma, seventeen off present clubs during the meeting agree on 2019/2020 end season.

If so, Plateau United band Eyimba will be Nigerians representatives in 2021 CAF Champions League. Whereas River United and Kano Pillars will feature in Confederation Cup.

Clubs officials also decided that there will be no promotions nor relegations.

Akwa United and Lobi Stars didn’t vote.
