PSG Neymar, Di Maria Tests Positive To Coronavirus

Paris Saint-Germain duo Neymar and Angel Di Maria are among the three club players that tested positive for coronavirus.

The Ligue 1 club on Wednesday confirmed that three players returned a positive Covid-19 result.

French media L’Equipe later revealed that Neymar, Di Maria and Paredes were the trio understood to have contacted COVID-19.

“Three Paris Saint-Germain players have confirmed positive Sars CoV2 tests and are subject to the appropriate health protocol,” the club said in a statement.

“All of the players and coaching staff will continue to undergo tests in the coming days.”

The club also confirmed in a statement on its Twitter account that the three of their players tested positive.

However, they didn’t disclosed their names and said they are already undergoing appropriate health protocol.

“Three @PSG_English players are confirmed positive after a Sars CoV2 test and have undergone the appropriate health protocols.

“All players and staff will continue to be tested over the next few days.”

PSG are yet to kick off the 2020-2022 Ligue 1 season as they were given a break following their run to last month’s Champions League final, where they were beaten 1-0 by Bayern Munich.
