Cameroon It’s Going To Be A Difficult Game Against Cameroon- Troost-Ekong

Super Eagles vice captain William Troost-Ekong has envisaged a tough tie when they play Cameroon in an international friendly on Friday in Austria.

With the 2022 FIFA Africa World Cup qualifier postponed to September, the Super Eagles are set to play the Indomitable Lions in a double header friendly.

Both teams are powerhouse in Africa football and ties between both side had seen the Super Eagles emerged more victorious.

In their last six clashes against Cameroon the Eagles have won five and drawn just one.

Speaking after Thursday training Troost-Ekong told the team media that they are going to match the Indomitable Lions.

He noted that the Cameroonian will be hoping to avenge their AFCON 2019 loss which will set the tune for a great cracker.

I think we played them a lot in the last couple of years and they’ve always been a difficult opponent.

“They would be a team that wants to get revenge against us because we knocked them out of the World Cup  (2018 qualifiers) and at the AFCON we did the same thing.

“It’s going to be a difficult game and the boys are ready to have a good fight and enjoy the game, show ourselves, see what we can do and make sure we finish the season on a high.”

Describing the team readiness after Thursday’s  training the Watford defender said it was great to have a great team spirit.

”It has been good we’ve got a lot of new faces in camp and we hope to have a good game.

“It’s good to see we have a great team spirit so we are happy to be here.”
