Liverpool star Sadio Mane scored and provided an assist for Senegal as they beat visiting Zambia 3-1 on Saturday evening.
The friendly took place at Lat Dior Stadium as both teams took advantage of the Fifa window to prepare for the forthcoming assignments.
Senegal led comfortable 3-0 at half-time after Mane had put the hosts ahead in the 21st minute from the penalty spot following a foul.
Seven minutes later, Krepin Diatta doubled the advantage for the hosts.
Therefore, Watford striker Ismaila Sarr made it 3-0 for Senegal courtesy of Mane’s assist with three minutes to full-time.
In the second half, Zambia reduced the arreas in the 53rd minute through Dominic Chanda who connected from a Prosper Chiluya’s free-kick.
Next, Zambia face Benin in Cotonou on Tuesday before travelling to Omdurman on June 11 for a match against Sudan.
Four foreign based players are part of the squad with Kings Kangwa (Arsenal Tula-Russia), Cyril Chibwe, Phiri (both Polokwane City-RSA) and Ntanzana Mayembe (Cardiff City).
The Europe based trio of Fashion Sakala (Glasgow Rangers), Patson Daka and Enock Mwepu (Red Bull Salzburg-Austria) will miss the friendly games to conclude their club switches.
Sweden based Emmanuel Banda (Djurgardens), Lubambo Musonda (Slask Wroclaw-[Poland) and Edward Chilufya are out due to injuries.
