Kaizer Chiefs head to Morocco ahead of CAF Champions League final (2)

Kaizer Chiefs squad with their had coach Stuart Baxter have left South Africa this Wednesday as they are travelling to Casablanca, Morocco ahead of CAF Champions League final against Al Ahly.

After days of doubts concerning the presence or not of Amakhosi’s manager Stuart Baxter in Morocco, the images of the squad at the airport this morning dispelled some oh them.

However, it is yet to be know whether he will be on the bench on matchday (Saturday, July 17 at 19:00) or not.

The Glamour Boys will land in Morocco later today with the figureheads of their team including Nigerian goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi who has been in a sensational form in this CAF Champions League campaign.

According to Kickoff, Chiefs’ veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune and the likes of  Khama Billiat, Lebogang Manyama, Bernard Parker and Samir Nurkovic are all among the contingent that left South Africa today.

However, Brandon Petersen, Sifiso Hlanti, Phathutshedzo Nange, Njabulo Ngcobo, Sibusiso Mabiliso, Kgaogelo Sekgota, along with the returning Given Thibedi will remain in Johannesburg.
