Africa Soccer Al Ahly to continue talks with Soufiane Rahimi in Casablanca

Al Ahly still have an eye on Raja Athletic Club winger Soufiane Rahimi as they travelled to Casablanca, Morocco for CAF Champions League final on Saturday.

The 25-year-old si one of the best Moroccan players in recent moments as far as local football is concerned.

Rahimi has a been instrumental in Morocco’s CHAN 2020 triumph as he ended the tournament being the top scorer with 5 goals and scooped the MVP award as well.

He continued his growing and has caught the eyes of Al Ahly officials when he starred against Pyramids FC in CAF Confederation Cup group stages and semifinal.

Soufiane Rahimi has once again been special when Raja defeated JS Kabylie to lift CAF Confederation Cup trophy in Benin days ago as he scored the opener and walked away with the Player of the Match award.

Now, Radio Masr reports that Al Ahly’s head of transfer Amir Tawfik has travelled with the squad in Morocco ahead of CAF Champions league final to continue negotiations with the player.

Months ago, it has been reported that the Egyptian Premier League powerhouse tabled a $2million bid but Raja turned it dow demanding $3million.

In addition, Rahimi has 17 goals and 14 assists to his name in 41 appearances across all competitions with Raja Casablanca this season with three games to spare in the Botola Pro. And he could beef up Al Ahly’s offensive sector as Aliou Dieng is collecting offers from Europe.
