Banyana Banyana of South Africa bagged an important 2-1 victory against Super Falcons of Nigeria in their AWCON 2022 Group C opener.

Goals from from Jermaine Seoposenwe and Hildah Magaia in the second half gave the Banyana Banyana the deserved points.

It is now two win in two Group opener for South Africa against Nigeria as they continued to dominate the Super Falcons.

Last year, against all odds, they defeated the Super Falcons to lift the maiden edition of the Aisha Buhari invitational tournament played in Lagos.

With Monday’s victory, South Africa are second on goal difference in Group C after Burundi suffered a 4-2 loss to debutants, Botswana in the second group game.
