Asisat Oshoala has been ruled out of the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations due to injury.
Oshoala sustained an injury during the Super Falcons’ opening Group C game against South Africa.
The Barcelona Feminine forward was substituted in the second half as Nigeria suffered a 2-1 loss to the Banyana Banyana on Monday.

The Nigeria Football Federation NFF confirmed in a statement today that the forward sustained a Grade 2 Medical Collateral Ligament strain in the game and will return to Spain on Thursday.
The former Arsenal forward will now miss the rest of the competition, which could also affect his chances of winning the Africa Women Player of the Year award at this year’s award in Morocco.
