England Benni McCarthy Lands In English Premier League For Next Coaching Job

Bafana Bafana legend Benni McCarthy has secured a blockbuster move to an English Premier League side, the Siya crew can reveal.

According to high-level sources, McCarthy has landed a coaching role with the Manchester United first team.

McCarthy joined Man Utd to take care of the first team strikers.

McCarthy, 44, played for Seven Stars in his native Cape Town as well as for Ajax, Celta Vigo, Porto, Blackburn, West Ham and Orlando Pirates.

He represented South Africa 79 times and is his country’s all-time leading scorer, as well as being their only player to have won the Champions League (with Jose Mourinho’s Porto).

The Uefa Pro Licence coach speaks four languages and has been working as a manager in South Africa’s top flight with Cape Town City and Amazulu.

During his time with Usuthu, he led the KwaZulu-Natal club to their highest-ever finish in the Premier Soccer League era in the 2020/2021 season when they finished second and secured CAF Champions League football for the first time in their history.

Before his time in Durban, McCarthy spent time with Cape Town City, where he won the MTN8 while he was also assistant coach for Belgian side Sint-Truidense in 2017.
